On behalf of all the networks composing the International Consortium of Educational Development, the Spanish network in Higher Education RED-U welcomes world-wide HE professional developers and academics interested in participating in the 2010 ICED biennial Conference in Barcelona.

The general aim of this Conference is to become a relevant meeting point for reflecting and exchanging ideas on the basis of the participant’s knowledge and professional experience in promoting and supporting educational development in Higher Education.

The first edition of the Paris International Conference on Education, Economy and Society was held from July 17 to July 19, 2008.

The International Confederation of Principals convenes every two years for dialogue and professional development. The biennial convention brings together principals from around the world in a special community of practitioners to share and learn new developments on leadership trends and insights. The forthcoming convention will be held on the beautiful multicultural island of Singapore, located in the warm sunny tropics.  The convention provides a unique experience not to be missed.

Private and public enterprises, national and international agencies provide a wealth of data and information about education systems and processes unknown to previous generations. Concepts like “evidence-based policy making”, “quality assurance”, “data-driven decision making”, and “evidence-based teaching” have played an important part in this development. Texas State University-San Marcos is hosting the 2010 Education and Community Leadership Conference, previously known as the Assistant Principals and Aspiring School Leaders Conference.

Conducted at the beautiful LBJ Student Center on the Texas State University campus, this one-day conference provides practicing and aspiring school and community leaders an opportunity for nurturing, professional growth, and networking.
