On behalf of all the networks composing the International Consortium of Educational Development, the Spanish network in Higher Education RED-U welcomes world-wide HE professional developers and academics interested in participating in the 2010 ICED biennial Conference in Barcelona.

The general aim of this Conference is to become a relevant meeting point for reflecting and exchanging ideas on the basis of the participant’s knowledge and professional experience in promoting and supporting educational development in Higher Education.

The first edition of the Paris International Conference on Education, Economy and Society was held from July 17 to July 19, 2008.

La Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (OEI), el Ministerio de Educación de la Nación Argentina y la Secretaría General Iberoamericana (SEGIB) con el apoyo de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID) convocan al Congreso Iberoamericano de Educación: Metas 2021 a celebrarse en Buenos Aires (Argentina) entre los días 13 y 15 de septiembre de 2010.

The International Confederation of Principals convenes every two years for dialogue and professional development. The biennial convention brings together principals from around the world in a special community of practitioners to share and learn new developments on leadership trends and insights. The forthcoming convention will be held on the beautiful multicultural island of Singapore, located in the warm sunny tropics.  The convention provides a unique experience not to be missed.

Private and public enterprises, national and international agencies provide a wealth of data and information about education systems and processes unknown to previous generations. Concepts like “evidence-based policy making”, “quality assurance”, “data-driven decision making”, and “evidence-based teaching” have played an important part in this development. The rapid spread of national and international testing systems is another sign of the ongoing transformation of the field.
